Data Acquisition

The CardioBelt™ is the data acquisition subsystem in the Monebo ECG system.

The CardioBelt™ consists of a simple sensor unit with three embedded electrodes, which may be wirelessly connected to a processor such as a PC, PDA/PocketPC, or Smart Phone or any special-application processing device.

There are two versions of the CardioBelt™. One has a separate electronics package and a disposable sensor belt. This is useful in applications such as home health care. The second version is completely self contained. In this case, the belt is dedicated to a specific owner.   

Monebo’s proprietary CardioBelt™ uses one lead with three electrodes inserted in a flexible material and connected to an embedded processing unit. This configuration provides for the capture of a modified Standard Lead 1 ECG signal. For monitoring applications the captured data compares favorably with that captured from a standard 12 lead ECG.

The Monebo software engine can also accept data from other sources of cardiac signals so that the technology can be embedded into may types of devices.
